Being obsessed with makeup, I decided to apply for a seasonal part-time position early October and interviewed soon after. Mid-October I received a phone call asking if I would accept their offer and with excitement, I said yes. Orientation came shortly after, and worked my first official shift November 5th. On December 14th, I received another call from the hiring manager asking if I would like to become a core associate. I could NOT believe it! Supposedly it is not a decision they make until February. It was such an honor.
Sephora is a luxury cosmetic store founded in France, and is owned by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE. Not only does Sephora sell high quality products, but they also have their own private label, the Sephora Collection – perfect for those looking for prestigious products on a small budget. With luxury brands in skincare, hair care, fragrance, and color, Sephora is the go-to store for top-of-the-line cosmetics.
With the holiday season officially over, I finally received my core associate uniform and name tag. I now look official! Which is perfect timing considering my store will be having a grand re-opening at the end of April. Last Sunday after we closed the store a few of us stayed to finish some last minute tasks and as we saw the temporary walls being torn down, we caught a glimpse of what the new store will look like. We have been under construction for a few months now and I cannot wait for the new look (Definitely ready for the dust and plywood flooring to be gone!) With the store expansion, we will be the new home of many additional brands as well as adding more to the brands we presently carry. I CANNOT WAIT!
Working for Sephora has been such a fun experience so far. I eagerly look at my schedule every Wednesday to see when I work next. My co-workers, leads and directors are amazing! I get paid to work with awesome people, learn about, as well as play with and sample products weekly. As a makeup enthusiast, it does not get much better than that. Excited to see what is to come from working for this wonderful company.
